United Geophysical, our UK based seismic acquisition company with over 60 years’ experience. United Geophysical Nigeria Subsidiary UGNL is Africa’s oldest oil service company having begun operations in the western Niger Delta in the early 1960’s. Throughout its history United Geophysical has conducted continuous operations specializing in land/desert, swamp, urban and transition zone, 2D,3D and 4D seismic. United has conducted seismic surveys for many of the major oil companies operating in Africa.

The company has more than 2,000 people deployed, and management & operations teams of over 100 senior technical executives in geophysics, topographical sciences, computer and electrical/electronic engineering, safety, medical, finance, community affairs and administration.

Since 1990, United Geophysical has successfully acquired over 40 3D/4D projects covering an area of over 13,000Km2. With experience in all types of terrain including desert, urban, grassland, swamp, transition zones. Clients include Super-Majors, National Oil Companies and Independents.

Recently (2020-2022), United acquired seismic data over the entire Port Harcourt City and surrounding suburbs using NuSeis nodal technology and urban vibrators. The project was a huge success. It was achieved in record time and produced excellent quality data. We are currently acquiring a 2400sqkm Transition Zone project offshore Niger Delta using Ocean Bottom Node technology.
